Bookends: the Monthly WrapUp
My first full month of tumblr-logged reading — somewhere around 15 books. I’m still working on The Faith Club (ARCs got in the way, and I always take longer to read nonfiction); we gave up on reading The High King aloud (sickness and other complications got in the way), but are on our way to finding another bedtime book.
Here are my first-time-read picks for the month:
The Uninvited by Tim Wynne-Jones
Breathing by Cheryl Rae Herbsman
A War of Gifts by Orson Scott Card
The Dog Who Belonged to No One by Amy Hest (children’s picture book)
I was quite disappointed by The Dangerous Days of Daniel X and didn’t enjoy Here Lies Arthur quite as much as I had hoped. However, I do still enjoy the art and mixed science/supernatural stories of Doug TenNapel.
