It’s been a full month of reading, which you can hardly tell from the shortlist of books on the blog this month. But considering I only started this craze a few days ago (after recently terminating my previous library blog), I guess it’s not bad. The five books that stand out as favourites for me this month are:
The Wednesday Wars by Gary Schmidt (teen 1960s historical fiction)
Dune by Frank Herbert (seriously sci-fi classic)
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (Newbery Award Winner)
Woolbur by Leslie Helakoski (children’s picture book)
From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg (Newbery Award Winner)
The American Library Association announced its book awards this past week at their MidWinter Conference. You can check them out here.
